Welcome to the start of the new season of the San Diego Pool League.

We have a full lineup of familiar and new faces, some playing in new homes, some teams have new players. We wish to welcome them into our realm of friendship and fun. I’m sure that they will have good times and shoot some great pool.

Congratulations to all those who won in our many and varied tournaments last season. Thanks to all of our players who represented us at the recent West Coast Challenge in Long Beach. Congratulations to Joanne Mattingly for taking 1st and Lauren Ward for taking 4th in Womens, Ernie Elliott for taking 6th and Abdul Ibrahim for taking 8th in Open Individuals.

Please remember, if you have any questions or problems, the members of the Board of Directors are available to be of service.

The SDPL is one of our nation’s oldest LGBT sports organizations active since 1978. The SDPLconducts 2 seasons a year. We are a trophy league which focuses on providing members the opportunity to improve their pool playing skills, while having fun and meeting new people. So, whether you’ve never picked up a cue stick in your life or consider yourself a "Shark", the SDPL has a team & a division for YOU. We play on Monday nights with team practice beginning at 6 pm & match play beginning at 7 pm. Matches consist of 16 Games per night & each team can play between 4 & 7 players. Player’s fees are only $2.00 per game per player with a Maximum of 4 games per night per player. Most of our sponsor locations are in the Hillcrest/North Park area. 

Following regular season play Team Playoffs & Special Event Tournaments begin & will decide which Team and Individuals will represent SD in the West Coast Challenge. The WCC is where the top teams & players from Long Beach, Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diegocompete in a weekend long tournament to decide the best of the best.
