SDPL - Amended BCA Rules

The rules and bylaws of the San Diego Pool League are available to you at the links below. The Bylaws of the League relate to the officers of the league and the standard operation. The Match Policy and Procedures and the Amended BCA Rules of Play are the rules that the SDPL enforces during regular season play.

1.41 COACHING TIME OUT -
1. During regular league play, each player is allowed one coaching time out per game for a maximum of 2 minutes per time out. During a coaching time out, the person who has been asked to approach the table may not touch any of the table equipment. This includes, but is not limited to the cue stick, cue ball, bridge, chalk or brush. The person giving coaching may touch the table or cloth while leaning over the table to point at a specific location.

2. During team play-offs, coaching is limited to 1 minute per game; the presiding referee will give a 30 second and 15 second warning only.

3. During individual’s or women’s play-offs, no coaching is permitted.
