MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Hello and welcome to the Spring 2012 season, we have encountered some minor issues and delays with the current season schedules and had to make last minute changes. With that being said, we are at three (3) divisions, A – 8 teams, B – 7 teams, C – 8; Division B is the only division with the need for Byes. Another way to eliminate the need for byes is to increase the number of teams. If you know of anyone interested in forming a team or joining a team, please have them contact any board member with the contact info.

The League would like to welcome a new sponsor: Chee Chee Club located Downtown San Diego. As with all our great sponsors, please take a moment to visit and thank them for their support.

The Palm Springs Pool League has contacted the WCC Committee regarding their participation. San Diego is pushing for New cities to enter and is working with the LB, SF, and LA to make this happen. More information will follow in upcoming Table Talks.

I would like to Congratulate all of our West Coast participants especially Team Dementors MVR-4 for taking 1st place in the team event and Luis Abarca for winning 1st place in Open Individuals and Bill Dorman for taking 2nd place in the Referee tournament. And a special Thank You for all of the WCC helpers from San Diego.

Finally, Board positions up for election this season are Vice President, Statistician and Secretary. We urge everyone to consider running for the Board. If you have drive, would love to help the League continue to succeed and grow; but mostly, would love to get to know a bunch of great league members, nominate yourself. WE NEED YOU!!

If you are a player looking for a team to play on we encouraged you to print the registration form, complete the player 1 section and email to our statistician, Gordon Byom, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . He may be able to place you with a team.

Our goal for next season is to add 3 new teams and to do so we need your help. We are going to need 3 individuals with league experience to captain the new teams. If you are interested please contact Gordon. Of course we’re going to need a bunch of new players as well and we need your help to recruit them. (See! We do recruit.) Talk up the league to your pool shooting friends and acquaintances. Send them to our website to submit their team or to email Gordon. Better yet, get a name, phone number and/or email address and forward to any Board member. New captains, new players, new teams and new sponsors – we’re interested in all.
